At 2019 metres above sea level, the lake can be reached in summer with the chairlift from Chamois, a car-free tourist resort connected to the Valtournenche valley floor only by cable car, or with an excursion on foot.

The lake is located at the foot of Mount Charvaz, at 2019 meters of altitude and can be reached with the chairlift from Chamois, during operating periods.
From there you can enjoy views over all the peaks surrounding the village, ranging over the Cima Longhede up to Château des Dames.
A picnic area is available on the shores of the lake.
