Description of the route
Leave the car in the car park at Estoul, in the municipality of Brusson and continue along route 6 to Lac Litteran. From here, the trail starts climbing the shoulder, providing a wonderful panoramic view of the entrance to Val d’Ayas, up to the top of Mount Bieteron.
PANORAMA: Mount Bieteron dominates the background of Val d’Ayas in the section between Challand and Arcesaz. You get a great view of most of Val d’Aosta - Mont Blanc, Ruitor, Grivola and Mount Emilius. The excursion can be limited to Lac Litteran, situated in a basin north of the peak, and which has pale green water. Excellent fishing.
