How to get there

Aosta Ovest highway exit. After the town of Aymavilles, take the road for Cogne and, after several kilometres, turn left for Ozein. Leave your car in Dailley, 1,478 m, the upper hamlet of Ozein.

A central and scenic location in the Valley d’Aosta. Exceptional view of Grivola. A classic, practically always marked, feasible even after heavy snowfall.

Description of the route

From Dailley, 1,478 m, start climbing along the farm road or cut through the sparse woods to the Romparein pasture, 1,870 m. Continue climbing East crossing the wide fields to the summer path. Follow the marked path to the Champchenille chalet, altitude 2,168 m. Keep climbing on the left of the majestic peak and follow the ridge on the last part to the top.
