Tour of the Matterhorn
A high altitude trail that promises exciting scenery
The Tour of the Matterhorn is a spectacular high altitude tour that allows you to move and position yourself, gradually, at different altitudes and to admire all the breathtaking slopes of the Matterhorn, through 6 valleys and 3 cultures (the German speaking Upper Valais, the Francophone central Valais and the Italian Aosta Valley).
The trail runs along more than 25 peaks (over 4,000 metres); it crosses numerous mountain pastures, amidst untouched flora and fauna, and visits several traditional villages.
