Skiing in Aosta Valley in advertising posters from the 20s of the twentieth century.

Exhibition organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with Gioachino Gobbi who has made available a part of his private collection, testimony of his passion and love for the mountains.

Advertising “affiches” were born in France at the end of the 19th century, when the poster began to be an important communication and advertising tool. The text is no longer the only protagonist element but the image potential is starting to be privileged to convey the desire and curiosity to visit a place or to practice an activity.
The dive into the past of the posters on display, copies of originals, offers the observer the beauty, the colours, the subjects and all the creativity of the first editions that make the mountains, our Alps and above all skiing the protagonists.

The exhibition will be open to visitors, with free admission, from Friday to Sunday, from 10am to 7pm, until 10 April 2023.
