Snowshoe excursion in Alpenzu: among spectacular views, monumental larch trees and the Walser history
Beautiful snowshoe hike following the Alta Via 1, among monumental larch trees, to reach one of the most famous villages in the Gressoney Valley. The fabulous panorama of Gressoney-Saint-Jean and the peaks of Monte Rosa will be the backdrop to the history of the Walser people. The descendants of the Alemanni arrived in the Gressoney Valley even before 1200 and left many testimonies here: the village of Alpenzu is an important sign of their culture.
