Альпинизм
Альпинизм – это деятельность, заключающаяся в преодолении трудностей при восхождении на гору. Альпинистское восхождение (или крутой подъём) проходит по скалам, снегу или льду. Среди горных видов спорта, за последние годы спортивное восхождение стало очень популярным занятием; всё больше молодёжи, взрослых и школ посвящают ему время. В Валле д’Аосте успех к этому виду спорта пришёл параллельно с развитием соответствующей инфраструктуры, как в залах, так и под открытым небом (естественные и оборудованные площадки).
В то время как в альпинизме, в прямом смысле, цель – это достижение вершины горы, в спортивном подъёме основная цель – преодоление стены или её «трудной» части. Спортивный подъём не опасен, если относиться к нему серьёзно и с должным вниманием; спортсмен должен достигнуть высшей точки естественной или искусственной стены только при помощи эксцентриков или скальных кручьев, называемых шлямбурами, чтобы продевать верёвку и обеспечить себе возвращение. Каждый раз, когда альпинист поднимается от одной точке к другой, страховщик вытягивает верёвку на нужную длину: в случае ошибки нет опасности падения, потому что верёвка остаётся натянутой. Чтобы ещё увеличить собственную безопасность, рекомендуем обратиться к альпийскому проводнику.
