Joseph learns that his son Emmanuel and his companion were killed in a plane crash. The two were expecting a baby from a young surrogate mother living in Belgium. After several attempts, Joseph tracks down the woman: her name is Rita, she is 26 years old, she is the mother of a nine-year-old girl and has no money. Joseph would like to prevent Rita from giving up the baby in her womb.
