Celebrations for the 79th anniversary of the Liberation

The ceremonial program will begin in the Aosta Cemetery with the laying of a wreath at the Shrine of the war dead, followed by the Holy Mass. Subsequently, a wreath will be laid at the War Memorial in the Garden of Remembrance in via Festaz.

The celebrations will move to Piazza Chanoux where the flag raising, the laying of a wreath at the Monument of the Aosta Valley Soldier and the celebratory speeches will be held.
In the afternoon, a concert by the Municipal Band of Aosta will be held in Piazza Chanoux, which will precede the flag-lowering ceremony.

As a corollary to the celebration with a meeting under the porticoes of Corso Battaglione Aosta on the corner with Via Giorgio Elter, a guided educational walk is planned on the sites of the Resistance in the streets dedicated to the Aosta Valley people who died for freedom.
