Winter 2023/2024 - Open with the following opening hours:

  • From Wednesday to Monday 3pm-8pm
  • Closed on Tuesdays

Last admission 45 minutes before closing time.

Christmas holidays: closed on 25th December, open on 26th December and 2nd January, on 31st December open from 3pm to 7pm.

Wellness centre of Halldis Gressoney apartment hotel

The new apartment hotel Halldis, just a few steps from the slopes of the Weissmatten ski area, offers a fully equipped wellness centre, with facilities both inside and outside the building.

The indoor facilities are:

  • turkish bath
  • water paradise
  • sensory shower
  • relax room
  • room with self-massaging beds
  • whirlpools with mountain views.

On the outside you’ll find:

  • barrel sauna with mountain views
  • heated outdoor tub.

An additional service is also provided: a floating room, a tub which, through a special combination of light and sound and thanks to the specific concentration of mineral salts in the water, allows its guests to achieve a deep relaxation effect and a state of total well-being.

To access the wellness centre, it is necessary to make a reservation by contacting the facility at the phone number indicated below.

Exhibition area "Villa Deslex"

The Villa belongs to the Municipality and it is the seat of the Tourist Information Office, of the municipal library, of the Walser Cultural Center and of the post office.
Various exhibitions are presented on the second floor.

 

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

  • The exhibition room is located at Villa Deslex and it can be reached by a lift, whose size and characteristics conform to the requirements.
  • The toilet is shared with the library, has a good free moving space and is equipped with the necessary auxiliary devices.
  • The car park in front of the building has some parking spaces for disabled people.

JardinAlp - Exhibition area at Savoy castle

Exhibition headquarters  -  Gressoney-Saint-Jean

The exhibition area of the Savoy Castle is located in the building that was originally used as a garage for Queen Margaret of Savoy’s car, near the entrance to the castle.
The facility is equipped with multimedia supports and panels dedicated to alpine flora and to the history of the castle: noteworthy is the short film about the alpine gardens in the Aosta Valley, which also regards the castle’s botanical garden.
While waiting for the guided tour of the castle, visitors can find here useful information on its origins and on Queen Margaret, as well as curiosities on the natural environment and on the plants of the Aosta Valley, from which they can take inspiration to go and discover other sites of natural interest in the region.

Tourist Office - Gressoney-Saint-Jean

The office is open all year round

The tourist office of Gressoney-Saint-Jean, just opposite two large parking lots in the center of the village, is located inside Villa Deslex which is also the headquarters of the Post Office, the Walser Cultural Center and the municipal library. It is on the ground floor and is therefore easily accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. In addition to providing specific and detailed information on the Upper Lys Valley, it is available to guide the visitor on his/her discovery of the entire Valle d’Aosta and offers the following services:

  • Sale of tickets of Bard Fortress
  • Sale and booking of tickets for Skyway Monte Bianco cablecar
  • Sale of hiking maps of the Aosta Valley and gadgets with the tourist logo
  • Booking of workshops and organised activities

 

Accessibility

As a result of the mapping carried out in 2023 as part of the "Lo sci per tutte le abilità" (Skiing for everyone) project, the following was found:

  • The office is located on the ground floor and the entrance door has no differences in level.
  • A part of the desk is lower and enables wheelchair users to look at the displayed brochures and to talk to the employees without any problems.
  • The car park in front of the building has some parking spaces for disabled people
