“Una Boccata d’Arte” is the second edition of a national project of the foundation Elpis. This year’s site of this event in the Aosta-Valley is Gressoney-Saint-Jean. The young artist is Giuseppina Giordano. She comes from Mazara del Vallo and she uses different media, in order to create works of art that are well integrated in nature and that appeal to all senses. Poetry, language, translations, art history, painting, sculpture and everyday life are just some of the subjects, that she deals with.
The different languages that are spoken in Gressoney-Saint-Jean fascinated the artist so much, that she decided to present a project which is able to embrace the multilingualism of this place using some metaphors of happiness and new life. The artist’s main aim is to experience the environment with different senses such as the sight, the ears, the taste and the sense of touch.

The four places where the artist’s works are exhibited:

• Sculpture at Lake Gover
• Acoustics at Obre Platz
• Painting in the icehouse next to Villa Margherita
• Edible art at Lake Gover

The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday 26th June at Obre Platz.
