With a starting altitude of 2000 metres the hike to Cheneil can be defined as one of the most amazing of the entire Valtournenche valley.

The climb to the watershed area of Chamois repays you with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn, once you have reached the Clavalité Sanctuary. During the hike you will do various stops to discover the fauna, flora and history of the area.

Snowshoes and snow poles will be provided to the participants.

Recommended equipment and clothing: ski jacket and pants, trekking boots, gloves, cap, sunglasses and rucksack. Everything you need for a snowshoe hike with cold winter temperatures.

In case of bad weather: the hike will we be organised in another location which will be chosen according to the weather forecast.

The snowshoe hike DOES NOT include a lunch pause. It’s recommended to take with you some snacks and a thermos with hot drinks.
